Riversong Players announce upcoming production of Godspell and continued season highlights

Riversong Players is excited to share a season update as the company prepares for a vibrant start to summer, beginning with its upcoming production of Godspell in the first week of June.

Bringing together a dynamic cast of youth and adult performers, Godspell promises to be a heartfelt and engaging theatrical experience rooted in themes of community, connection, and joy.

The production reflects Riversong Players’ continued commitment to inclusive, community-driven theatre in Mississippi Mills and beyond.

Looking ahead, Riversong Players will soon be announcing the cast for its highly anticipated production of Next to Normal. This powerful and contemporary musical marks an exciting expansion of the company’s artistic scope, and further details will be shared in the coming weeks.

Riversong Players is proud to acknowledge and thank its Season Sponsor, The Mill Street Team, whose generous support helps make these productions possible. Their ongoing partnership plays a vital role in sustaining and growing local arts in the community.

The company would also like to recognize the cast and creative team of Strings of the Violin for their recent work bringing this moving and meaningful story to life. The production was a testament to the talent, dedication, and heart of everyone involved, and a proud moment for Riversong Players.

“As we move into this next phase of the season, we’re incredibly grateful for the support of our community,” said Beth Robertson of Riversong Players.

“From our performers and volunteers to our audiences and sponsors, this work is truly collaborative — and we’re so excited to share what’s coming next.”

With Godspell just weeks away and more announcements on the horizon, Riversong Players continues to build momentum as a growing force for community theatre in the region.
