I am heartbroken by what is happening in my beloved hometown. It is all such a shame. I know if we tried to move a rock or a weed from the shoreline of our cottage the Ministry would throw the book at us. It just boggles my mind what one individual is allowed to do to the river for his own personal gain. I am afraid this will set a dangerous precedent for more to come. Sounds like your local candidate to Queens Park supports Enerdu so I doubt he would be much help. From Councillor Dalgity’s letter it appears the town council has just given up and way too soon as far as I’m concerned. Surely, these councilors were elected to represent the people and the people don’t want Enerdu. It is the squeaky wheel that gets the grease and the council’s silence is akin to permission as far as I can see. If the councillors have such a defeatist attitude they will never get anywhere but perhaps they will with the next election in Almonte.
Thanks for listening.
