Time to revive The Classifieds, I think

Readers may know that a month or two back I stopped accepting most classified ads in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Now that spring is here, and more importantly, that social distancing practices have been generally embraced, I’ll start taking classifieds again — IF your ad makes it clear how people can conduct transactions safely. That will include:

  • goods can be viewed in a safe place: on a porch or in a yard, for example, and without anyone recently having touched them; or they can be delivered and left outdoors for the buyer.
  • preferably, payment can be made electronically rather than with cash.
  • services are sought or offered in a way that respects social distancing.

This may all sound a little excessive, I suppose, especially as some stores remain open where folks are handling merchandise and using cash daily, but I’d rather err on the side of caution.

To submit a classified ad, email me at editor@millstonenews.com. Include the text for your ad in the email, or attach it as a Word document. Attach one or two relevant photos to your email.
