“Tom T” Hill — obituary

Tom

HILL, Thomas Herman “Tom T”

After a brief battle with cancer, with his loving Jude by his side on Saturday, April 2, 2016. Tom is survived by his wife, Judi Moffatt-Hill; his mother, Mildred; siblings Diana, Penny, Sharon (Andre), Jim, Elaine, Danny and Donna (Rick), and many beloved nieces and nephews. Pre-deceased by his father, Roland Hill, and brother Gary. Also a special thanks to his best man, and friend, Tom Hussey, who has been a rock to Tom and his family, especially in these last weeks.

Tom T. Hill was a beloved character in the country music scene of the Ottawa Valley. He built up a very successful Open Stage at Danbys Bar & Grill in Munster, over the past 10 years. Saturday afternoons, if they weren’t playing anywhere else, musicians from far and wide would congregate there to share Tom’s stage, and he loved them all! Loved and missed by all who knew him.

Family will receive friends on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at the Pinecrest Visitation Centre (2500 Baseline Rd., Ottawa). A Service in Memory of Tom will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel. A Reception will follow at Danbys Roadhouse in Richmond (Old Richmond Bakery) In memory of Tom donations to Relay for Life Mississippi Mills “Par-Tee Girls” would be appreciated. A Tribute to Tom T. will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Carleton Place Arena.
