Trilliums in bloom

Trillium-1

by Bob Lesser

The hills are alive … with beautiful trilliums. The trillium, Ontario’s provincial flower, only blooms for a short time each spring and now is their time. They can be easily seen along country roadsides and the Baxter Conservation area is home to several varieties. These were found along the Old Rae Road and the light rain, followed by sunshine, provided for a gorgeous effect. Take the time to enjoy nature’s beauty, even if only from the window of your car.
