Two inidividuals charged with possession of a stolen horse

On May 6, 2015 at approximately 3:30 pm the Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report that a horseopp_police which was reported stolen to the Ottawa Police had been located by the owner at a property on Water Street in Almonte.

Police attended the scene and located the horse and arrested two people.  The horse which is valued at approximately $15000 was returned to the owner who discovered it had been stolen from their property near March  and Dwyer Hill Roads.

As a result of the investigation Jason DELORME age 34 of Ottawa, ON and Rachelle GIFF-JESSUP age 27 of Mississippi Mills, ON are both charged with Possession of Stolen Property – Over $5000.  Both were released on an Appearance Notice for Perth Court on June 9, 2015.
