From Mary Rozenberg, Project Coordinator, Mississippi Mills Community Poppy Project

The Mississippi Mills Poppy Project is in its third year as a collaborative community art project of remembrance, honouring Canadian Veterans who have served, and personnel currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces for their service and sacrifice to our country.

In 2024, over 300 individuals participated. In 2025, over 105 new individuals participated. Over 18,000 poppies were hand-knitted and hand-crocheted. Several new individuals have asked that the project be continued. A few more places that would like to have poppy displays for remembrance. Our objective this year 7,000 hand-knitted and hand-crocheted.

If you want to be a part of this community project of remembrance, please reach out to Project Coordinator Mary Rozenberg at mary@interlinkx.com.
