On Sunday, August 2nd, (noon – 4pm), experience the nostalgia of ‘Pioneer Days’ with retro 1970s family fun.
Activities include: bubble gum blowing contest, a spelling bee, costume and beard judging contests, sack races, and a dress-up relay. Enjoy a sample of ’70s cusine at a special food tasting table. Explore the museum’s memorabilia exhibit, including videos of the ‘Pioneer Days’ grand parades. Claudia Smith will share a horse’s bridle button collection. Rachel Smyth will speak about the wedding dress exhibit. Layne Sharpe will demonstrate the operation of the barn frame loom, and Bill Kemp will talk about his 1915 Model T Ford (weather dependent).
