Today, during my early morning walk, while sipping a Baker Bob’s coffee, I paused for a moment to view the Almonte ‘Volunteer War Memorial.’ Captured in the bright morning sun, surrounded by absolute silence and beautiful flowers, with the Canadian flag gently wafting overhead, the scene immediately instilled an atmosphere of solemnity and quiet reflection on just how fortunate we are to live in Canada.
