Good Monday Morning! Happy Day before Canada Day!

It sure is a hot one out there today.  For the last few days it’s been pretty hot & humid and it really created a desire for me to want to be out on the lake looking for waterfowl.

Yesterday I asked my husband if we could go for a tour of Clayton Lake as I was really hoping to spot Loons and their babies.  I have been seeing numerous photos of Loons & babies posted by friends on Facebook.  I was hopeful that I would see some but my hopes were dashed by the end of our trip as I saw notta one!   That’s alright though, I did see loons and I was able to photograph a Great Blue Heron who was posing so perfectly!

Last year, Canada Day, I did capture a photo of a Mother Loon and her baby. So I went into my archives and pulled out that shot.  Please enjoy that photo as well as the others I have snapped, below.

Have a super week of feathers, wings & beaks!
