Grieving the loss of a loved one is one of life’s most profound challenges. While each person’s journey through grief is unique, it often includes a wide range of emotions and physical experiences. Concentration may feel impossible, fatigue can be overwhelming, and navigating even the simplest tasks may seem insurmountable.
Home Hospice North Lanark (HHNL) understands the complexities of grief and offers a safe and supportive environment for those who are navigating this journey. This winter, HHNL will host a Grief and Bereavement Support Group, designed to provide understanding, connection, and hope.
The next session begins on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, and runs for seven weeks, ending on March 26, 2025. Meetings will take place weekly from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the HHNL office, Unit #2, 500 Ottawa Street, Almonte (at the roundabout).
What to Expect
This is a closed group limited to 10 participants, ensuring a supportive and intimate setting. Led by two experienced facilitators, the program follows a peer-support model, fostering a sense of community among participants who understand the struggles of grief.
Participants will:

- Connect with others experiencing similar emotions.
- Learn coping strategies in a safe, understanding environment.
