OPP investigating property damage at the Karson Kartage Quarry

Kartage QuarryThe Lanark County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating the significant damage to property at a quarry located on March Road that occurred between evening of August 8, 2014 and the afternoon of August 10, 2014.

On August 10, 2014 at approximately 5:50 pm the OPP received a report of damage to property at the Karson Kartage Quarry on March Road east of Almonte.  One or more suspects entered the gated quarry and used a front end loader located on the site to cause damage to other equipment and quarry property.  A storage trailer was turned over and a Skyjack boom was flipped on its side. Both sustained significant damage.  A small building and a Ford pick-up truck on the site were also damaged.

The OPP Forensic Identification Unit attended the scene to collect evidence and the investigation is continuing.

The OPP is asking if anyone has any information regarding this crime to contact Lanark County OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
