Police charge Lloyd Roderick Oattes in tractor trailer collision

The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has laid charges as a result of a single tractor trailer collision last week on County Road 511 in Lanark Highlands Township.

The tractor trailer was northbound on County Road 511 when it left the roadway crashing through a section of guard rails coming to rest in the ditch.  The tractor trailer also took out a utility pole resulting in the highway being closed for several hours while police investigated and crews completed clean up of the crash scene debris.  There were no injuries sustained by the lone male driver.

Lloyd Roderick OATTES, age 49 of Lanark Highlands Township has been charged with one count of careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.

Anyone with information regarding this collision is asked to contact the Lanark County OPP Detachment at 613-267-2626 or 1-888-310-1122
