The Almonte Farmers’ Market launched its 2012 season in the library parking lot yesterday, May 19. It is too early for many vegetables but green onions, rhubard, crafts, baking and compost were on display. Kevin and Janet Paige set up their traditional pottery stand and market regular Sarah Lalonde took up her traditional position on the western edge of the market. Shopper and vendors were serenaded by a group of local musicians.
