Drugs, sawed-off shotgun, cash, seized in raid outside Almonte

The OPP reports that a coordinated drug raid yielded over 3 pounds of drugs as well as shotguns and cash from a home in Rosetta, southwest of Almonte off Wolf Grove Road. Other people were charged in Ottawa and Perth. From the OPP:

(Lanark County, Ontario) – On Thursday March 3, 2016, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Provincial Operations Intelligence Bureau (Ottawa Field Unit) and the OPP Drug Enforcement Unit (Ottawa) concluded a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) investigation.

A 28-year-old Ottawa man was supplying cocaine to street level cocaine trafficker(s) in Lanark County.

Numerous police units assisted in the successful execution of all warrants, including the OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, OPP Emergency Response Team, OPP Regional Support Team, OPP Physical Surveillance Unit and the Ottawa Police Service Tactical Unit.

As a result, five (5) Section 11 CDSA search warrants relating to the cocaine trafficking network operating in the Lanark County area were executed.

Police located and seized the following:

  1. Agincourt Road, Ottawa (ON):
    • 519 grams of cocaine
    • 518 grams of  MDMA (Ecstasy) powder
    • 14 Fentanyl patches
    • 325 grams of cannabis resin
    • 12 grams of cannabis marijuana
    • Switch blade
    • Bear Spray
  2. Rosetta Road, Lanark (ON):
    • 355.9 grams of cocaine.
    • 1096 grams of cannabis marijuana.
    • 7 bundles of Canadian currency – Amount to be deteremined
    • Sawed off shot gun
    • Double barrel shot gun
    • Ammunition
    • Switch blade
  3. 2009 Mercedes:
    • Cocaine
    • $3900 Canadian currency
  4. Beckwith St, Perth:
    • 19 grams of suspected cocaine.
    • 6 grams of cannabis marijuana.
  5. Drummond St, Perth:
    • 19 grams of suspected cocaine.
    • 7 grams of cannabis resin
    • 40 grams of cannabis marijuana.

Matthew FILLIPOFF (28) of Ottawa with:

  • CDSA 5(2) Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • CC 249.1(1) Adult Flight while Pursued by Peace Officer
  • CC 249(1) Adult Dangerous Operation of Motor Vehicle
  • CDSA 5(2) Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- MDMA
  • CDSA 5(2) Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking- Fentanyl
  • CC 355(a) Adult Possession Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000
  • CC 91(1) Adult Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
  • CC 91(1) Adult Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm
  • CDSA 5(2) Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking -over 3 kg

He was held in custody to appear for a bail hearing in the Ontario Court of Justice and remanded into custody.

  • CDSA 5(2) Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • CDSA 4(1) Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance-Cannabis marijuana – over 30 grams
  • CC 91(1) Adult Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm

She was held in custody and released on a Recognizance to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Smiths Falls on April 11, 2016.

Richard BONSELAAR (23) of Perth with:

  • CDSA 5(2) Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • CC 145(5.1) Adult Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge (4 Counts)He was held in custody and released on a Recognizance to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Smiths Falls on April 11, 2016.

Cole MASSEY (19) of Perth with:

  • CDSA 5(2) Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • CDSA 4(1) Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis marijuana – under 30grams

He was released on a Promise to Appear and Officer In Charge Undertaking to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 18th, 2016.

  • CDSA 4(1) Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis resin – over 1 gram
  • CDSA 4(1) Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance-Cannabis marijuana – over 30 grams

She was released on a Promise to Appear and Officer In Charge Undertaking to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 18th, 2016.

Paul CLARKE (59) of Perth with:

  • CDSA 5(2) Adult Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine
  • CDSA 4(1) Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance- Cannabis resin – over 1 gram
  • CDSA 4(1) Adult Possession of a Schedule II substance-Cannabis marijuana – over 30 grams

He was released on a Promise to Appear and Officer in Charge Undertakingto appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 18th, 2016.

Amber SNYDER (30) of Lanark with:

  • CDSA 4(1) Adult Possession of a Schedule I Substance- Cocaine

She was released on an Appearance Notice to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on April 18th, 2016.
