Try out curling at ‘Open Fridays’

Come into the Almonte Curling Club to see what curling’s all about

There is something new this year at the Almonte Curling Club (located beside the Almonte arena) and we are very excited about it: Open Fridays! If you’re curious to try curling, or want to get some extra ends in, these Friday evenings are for you.

Anyone interested in participating on March 1 should register with Sue Pirie at susanbpirie@gmail.com. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis so sign up early to avoid disappointment!

Drop in around 6:30 to sign-in for only $5 and be put on a team.  Don’t worry if you don’t have curling gear, just bring a clean pair of running shoes.  There’ll be people there to answer questions or help with equipment.

If you want to have a fun, recreational game of curling with your curling teammates or other friends, family or neighbours, then this is perfect for you.  If you’re curious but not sure if you want to be on the ice, drop in to observe, ask questions, and get to know your neighbours!

Looking forward to a fun season of Open Fridays!  Mark your calendar for the next date, March 1.
