The Millstone has just been advised that Walk for Justice will be passing through Lanark County today, at Hwy 15 and 7 at 4pm today. On June 21, 2011, members of Walk4Justice began their long walk from Vancouver, Coast Salish Territory to Ottawa, Algonquin Territory to raise awareness about the plight of the far too many (over 3000) missing and murdered Indigenous women across Turtle Island (Canada).These women have walked across Canada on their way to Parliament Hill to demand action and justice for the missing and murdered aboriginal women in Canada. 35 more women have gone missing or been murdered just since they began their walk. This intend to arrive at Parliament Hill on Monday, September 19.
