Welcome to the colourful garden of Eleanor Wright and her son Tom at 216 Wilson Street in Appleton. Variegated spirea bushes frame the front garden which also includes a pink weigela that’s still bearing blooms and a prolific morning glory vine A barrel planter of purple petunias is accompanied by pots of coleus, pink and red geraniums and yellow marigolds. The phlox and roses are in full bloom and are nicely shaded by mature trees. The garden includes a bounty of ripe red tomatoes in pots and plots that enhance the colour of the display. A pump fountain and wrought iron table and chairs complete the bright and cheery scene.
