The Corridor Gallery at the Almonte Branch Library is pleased to show photography by Justin Bordes.
Justin is a 26-year-old artist born and raised in the Ottawa Valley. He has been a kitchen manager, an athlete, a telecoms worker, and an amateur coffee connoisseur. Since 2021, within that busy schedule, he loves to find time to take photographs, bringing his camera everywhere he goes. Having a flair for the dramatic and a love for art and culture has made him a big fan of movies and art galleries, so anytime he’s on a trip, you can find him trying to find the nearest cathedral, art show, or cool-looking natural formation. All just so he can take photos and edit them many months later.
Justin takes straightforward photos of the world around him. Highlighting the everyday normal beauty in a life thoughtfully experienced. The work encourages us to remember that ordinary objects and people have a soul and story within them, their shape and form dependent on our willingness to experience them.
