“The Marching Band” is a highly acclaimed movie that tells the story of a world-famous orchestra conductor who discovers the brother he never knew he had—a school cafeteria worker who plays trombone in a marching band. The men were adopted by two different families at birth and grew up in diverse environments. Thibaut (Benjamin Lavernhe) who lives in a posh Parisian suburb, discovers he has a serious health issue, which is what leads him to find Jimmy (Pierre Lottin) who lives in a working-class town. They discover, amongst other things, that music is an important aspect of both of their lives. According to the Irish Film Institute, “The Marching Band is a warm, funny, and socially conscious crowd-pleaser.”
