Local Summer Senior Games Results

The local Summer Games have been going on for 2 weeks now with over a dozen events left before the end of June so you could still register for them. Forms are at the Almonte & Carleton Place Legion,the Almonte Old Town Hall and Waterside. For the $17 fee you can play in as many events as you wish, including the 2016-17 Winter Games.

The winners so far are:

Bid Euchre  held at the Almonte Curling Club, convened by Marion Timmins

Gold:  Lorraine Blaskie & Debbie Russett
Silver:  Margaret Sadler & Jan Pettem
Bronze:  Don Ecker & Mary Kolsters

Shuffleboard,  held at the Almonte Arena, convened by Marilyn Snedden

Gold: Irene Botham & Helen James
Silver: Jean Smith & Joyce Lowry
Bronze:  Ben Burger & Evelyn Neil

Euchre held in the Carleton Place Legion ,convened by Ann Ecker & Shirley Gamble

Gold:  Eileen Healey & Nancy Vardon-Gordon
Silver : Shirley Gamble & Marilyn Snedden
Bronze:  Lila Wade & Donna Bennett

Winners are eligible to travel to the OSGA +55 Summer Games in the Midland area from August 9-11. The local district is fundraising with a raffle featuring Senator’s tickets and a framed print of Eric Karlsson. They will assist the players transportation on the bus trip to Midland. The prizes will be drawn at the Annual Meeting and Banquet on June 24 at the Carleton Place Legion.  For more info check with the conveners listed on the registration form or with District Director Guy Chaput at  613 253-2784
