Sincere thanks to the lovely couple from Ashton who were waiting for their Friday fish and chips at The Cheeky Chippy when my new Bernedoodle pup slipped his collar in front of Pet Valu and ran at top speed across the parking lot, across four lanes of rush hour traffic and down to the chip wagon at top speed.
My heart was in my mouth as I pursued helplessly and watched him run into traffic. He ran to the husband of the couple and I was able to get their attention. They are breeders of the same pups and were able to help calm me and get the collar and leash securely attached as I tried to recover. Sincere thanks to these folks for helping at a time of such crisis.
