Almonte Bicycle Club

Once again, the Almonte Bicycle Club is running a 15 kilometer time trial every Tuesday evening from May thru September on Clayton Road.

Riders come from all over, including Almonte, Carleton Place, Kinburn, Stittsville and Kanata to measure their performance against the clock.

The first event of the 2016 season took place on May 10th at 7:00pm. Three riders were in starting.

Emily Jansen and Anne-Marie Carter-McAuslan were the time keepers and John Warren kindly came out to hold the riders. Fred Geuer was the turn marshal.

There was a slight northwest breeze and the temperature was 15 degrees with clear skies. The first seeded rider, a newcomer to the club, was Paula Leydon who set her first course time. The fastest rider was Dave McAuslan.  The results are as follows:

David McAuslan 27:33

Les Humphreys 27:36

Paula Leydon 36:25
