Te OPP report that as a result of a motor vehicle collision on Highway 7 near Tatlock Road, one person will be charged. The accident occurred on January 10th, 2015 at approximately 6:15 am between a tractor trailer travelling east boad on the highway and a west bound passenger vehicle. The tractor trailer struck the passenger vehicle head on. The driver of the passenger vehicle, Penny Bell, a 25 year old female from Ottawa, was taken to hospital with serious leg injuries and is now recovering.
The male driver of the tractor trailer , Kenneth Deline, age 39 of Belleville, a driver for LMB Transport of Ottawa was taken to hospital by ambulance with less serious injuries. Deline has been charged with the following Highway Traffic Act offences
- Careless Driving
- Fail to Take 10 Hours Off in a Day
- Driver After 14 Hours On Duty in a Day
Deline is scheduled to attend Ontario Provincial Offences Court in Perth, Ontario on March 3rd, 2015
