Update: Outdoor Recreation Facilities in Mississippi Mills

The Province has allowed certain municipal recreation facilities to re-open this week. The Municipality is taking time to ensure proper planning as facilities re-open. In Mississippi Mills, here is what’s open and what’s not:

✔️Disc golf

✔️Basketball court

✔️Baseball diamonds

✔️Tennis court

✔️Picnic in park

✔️Benches (please be mindful that staff will not be cleaning them)

✔️Staying 6 ft (2m) away from others

❌Gatherings of more than 5

❌Team sports or groups playing together who are not from the same household

❌Public washrooms

❌Play structures

❌Splash pads

The message today from Dr. Stewart, our local medical officer of health, is to remain dedicated to physical distancing and take personal responsibility for your safety and the safety of your family.  So keep washing your hands often, and when you’re out of the home use hand sanitizer and stay 6 feet away from others. Enjoy the sun and have a great weekend everyone!
