As it was 107 years ago at the first game on the lawn bowling Green adjacent the old Town Hall — sunny and warm — so it was on June 9 when the Almonte Lawn Bowling Club celebrated a century and seven years of history. 32 members attended the Friday night celebration and after eight ends of play retired to the Club lounge for a wee social and celebratory cake to mark the occasion.
A good time was had by all and next year the Club looks forward to celebrating 108 years of good sport and fun.
