The Almonte Lawn Bowling Club on 27 July hosted its first Ladies Night in a very long time. Sixteen ladies from the Club participated under hot and cloudy but rain-free skies on Monday evening and thoroughly enjoyed themselves. While the Ladies bowled the men helped ensure their pleasure by carrying and raking their bowls, keeping score, organizing the Jitney, providing refreshments and doing kitchen duty. Hopefully Ladies Night will become a yearly event and we can look forward to a repeat in the 2016 season.
