Some letters to the editor related to the upcoming May 27 presentation of the Enerdu draft Heritage Impact Assessment (HIA) give the indirect impression that the ‘public meeting’ is something along the lines of an open forum.
This is not the case. While the public is allowed and welcomed to attend the meeting to learn more about the HIA, the presentation by the heritage consultants is to the Heritage Committee, and members of the Heritage Committee will be asking questions or clarifications to these consultants. There is no mechanism at this meeting for the public to make comments or pose questions directly to the consultants.
That being said, any member of the public can present their comments or concerns on the HIA directly to the consultants until June 18 at the following link:
Thanks,
Jason Gilmore Chair, Town of Mississippi Mills Heritage Committee
