The Ontario government responds to Counclllor Dalgity’s letter of concern about the Enerdu project

Town of Mississippi Mills
When I was made aware that the Ministry of the Environment and Global Climate Change made a decision not to approve the Town of Mississippi Mills’ request for a Phase II Environmental Assessment (EA) for the Enerdu Project, I got a bit perturbed and on June the 19th, 2014 I forward a letter to the Premier requesting that she review this decision and the approval processes that are being utilized by her various Ministries.  The Premier’s staff then forward my letter to the Ministry of the Environment and Global Climate Change and the reply I got, today, from that Ministry is attached above.
In short the letter basically states that the Ministry of the Environment and Global Climate Change still stands by their first decision of not demanding that Enerdu do a Phase II EA Study, and nothing has changed.
