MillstoneClocks 'spring ahead' tonight

Clocks ‘spring ahead’ tonight

As they have since 1914 here in Canada, clocks will ‘spring ahead’ one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday morning, in order to give us extra sunlight at the end of the day from now until they ‘fall back’ again next November.

Unlike (ahem) certain other media outlets, the Millstone doesn’t plan to explain “ways to make the spring forward time change less awful”, nor to consult with mental health experts in order to prevent potential psychological scarring. We figure our readers are hardier than that and will survive more or less intact.

We’ll simply remind you that when you wake up tomorrow morning and grope for your wristwatch or clock radio, the time it displays will be an hour behind the actual. Unless of course you remembered to change them in advance.
