Almonte Curling Club runs successful food drive

The Bantam curlers of the Almonte Curling Club took on the responsibility of organizing the annual Food Drive and getting the word out to the curlers.

The Bantams took turns explaining to the various daytime, evening, and Little Rock curlers about the Lanark County Food Bank, including what types of items are most in need and who the Food Bank serves in our community.

The kids were pleased to see the response from the curlers and made the delivery to the Food Bank on March 6th.

Members of the bantam curlers participating were Brett Armstrong, Ryan Neil, Meghan Wark, Thomas Jack, Zach McFarlane, Jack Hawkins, Logan Coyne, Daniel Nielson, Ryan Miotla and Evan Ziai (Absent from picture).

Art McKay, the Club President said “the Club is very pround of the Bantams. They are fine curlers, and even better citiizens of our community. This annual Food Drive is a resounding success thanks to their efforts.”
