Hi all, I’m Andrew Jeanes and I work for the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport on heritage matters. Some of you may recall I attended the public information session on the proposed Almonte Heritage Conservation District back in March, and I continue to advise town staff and the consultant team on the HCD study.

I gave a presentation on HCDs last week at the Ontario East Municipal Conference in Kingston that several members of your council attended. It’s not online yet, but here’s a similar one I gave in Bolton earlier this year.

And here’s the list of all HCDs in effect in Ontario (now up to 115) on our ministry website.
