Local media report that 29-year-old Christopher Walsh was found dead on a roadside in McNab-Braeside Township near Arnprior early this morning.

Christopher was the son of Michael Walsh, who drowned after being caught in the undertow near the Pakenham falls in 2011, as reported in The Millstone.
According to the Ottawa Citizen:
Walsh’s mother, Diane Swaine, said she learned of her son’s death when police arrived at her home but she said they were unable to shed any light on what may have caused his death. She said police were unable to say whether it was an accident or possible homicide.
‘It’s a total and complete shock. You never want to see your child pass before you. He was a kid with a heart of gold and people knew that’, Swaine said. ‘You ask for anything and he would be the first to be there.’
Police closed off Russett Road, between Mabel’s Road and Bandy’s Road, as they investigated with help of a technical collision investigator, the forensic identification unit and the Renfrew County Crime Unit.
